Before creating Ayin Perfumes, Ayin de Sela traveled the world as a tightrope walker with, among others, Cirque du Soleil. Until the day a malformation in her brain caused her to lose her balance. Forced to reinvent herself, she chose to create custom fragrances from her caravan located in Grand Island. While she now has more than 1,000 recipes including those of singer Arthur H and Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke, she offers those who wish to begin the creation of their fragrance with a tarot reading.

In my previous life, I was a high-level tightrope walker with Cirque du Soleil in Canada. Then everything changed with a very painful family tragedy… I lost my sense of balance at a neurological level. It took me three years to walk again and seven years to rediscover the joy of living. It was seeing flowers grow even among the stones that sparked something in me. Their life force carried me, and I began to take an interest in the floral world and the healing properties of essential oils. I felt my soul and my heart open… I immersed myself with delight in the alchemy of blending plant essences, floral scents, and resins infused in deodorized coconut oil.
